Guests visiting Tanzania must have a passport valid for 6 months from date of travel and a tourist visa. Visas are issued by Tanzania Embassies, High Commissions and Consulates world wide. Visas should be obtained in advance of travel.

The current fee for U.K. nationals is £38. It is possible to get a visa in person at the High Commission in London. By paying an additional £5 and making an application before 1200 the visa will be issued the following day, in the afternoon.

It is possible, although not recommended, to obtain a visa on entry to Tanzania, at Dar-es-Salaam International Airport. The cost is US $50.
