Prices
Prices are in US$ and can be invoiced in £ Sterling for U.K. guests. Where this occurs, the exchange rate used will be the spot rate provided by Barclays Bank, at 1100 on the date of invoicing.

The price quoted is based on the departure date.

What is included?
Accommodation either full board (FB), half board (HB), bed and breakfast (BB) or Room only, all transfers including internal flights, all taxes with the exception of a US$5 departure tax from Zanzibar, guided excursions, game drives/river safaris as listed in the itineraries and entry fees to the National Parks are included in the price quoted. Also included is lunch when listed in the itinerary.

Please note: flights to and from Tanzania are not included. Discover Tanzania can arrange flights and is happy to provide guests with a quotation.

Your financial security
Discover Tanzania holds an Air Travel Organiser’s Licence (ATOL 6736) issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in the U.K. and is bonded with the CAA. The ATOL ensures that all monies guests pay to Discover Tanzania are fully protected by these bonding arrangements. For further information visit the ATOL website www.atol.org.uk.

Changes to Itineraries
Guests can change itineraries for the safaris and Zanzibar holidays when making bookings, with days being added/removed and excursions deleted or moved.

Create Your Own Safari or Zanzibar Holiday
This website has the facility for guests to create their own itinerary which is costed online, CLICK HERE. Prices quoted are per person based on double occupancy and are a guide price only. Booking
To enquire about making a booking, guests can either telephone +(00) 44 (0) 1908 221114 or submit an enquiry form CLICK HERE. A deposit of US$500/£250 or 20% (whichever is the greater) of the total booking cost will be required within 3 working days once we have confirmed your reservation. It normally takes less than 2 working days to confirm flights and accommodation.

Payment can be made by credit or debit card by telephoning our office on +(00) 44 (0)1908 221114. Alternatively, we will send a booking form for completion, which should be returned, accompanied by a cheque to cover the deposit (US$ or £ Sterling payable to Discover Tanzania Limited). Discover Tanzania will then issue a confirmation invoice.

Full payment for your holiday will be required ten weeks before departure date. Confirmation of your flight plus your itinerary will be forwarded at this stage. Tickets will normally be issued at this time.

Cancellation Policy
If you decide to cancel your holiday, written notification must be sent to Discover Tanzania Limited, Discovery House, 23 Annes Grove, Great Linford, Milton Keynes, MK14 5DR, England. The following scale of charges will apply:

55-43 days 30% of total holiday price
42-29 days 50% of total holiday price
28-15 days 75% of total holiday price
14 -7 days 90% of total holiday price
Less than 7 days 100% of total holiday price

Insurance
Guests must be in possession of a valid travel insurance policy covering the full period of the holiday. We will require a copy of this at least 8 weeks prior to departure, or at the time of booking, whichever is the earlier.

Quality Assurance
All the hotels, lodges and tented camps we use have been vetted by Discover Tanzanias founder, David Thompson, who has stayed in all the accommodation as an unannounced paying guest. For a full description of the hotels CLICK HERE.

Time Differences
There is only a 3 hour (2 hour during BST) difference between the U.K. and Tanzania. This makes the Tanzanian mainland and Zanzibar an ideal destination to spend a week (7/9 days), especially during the European and North American winter, with most travellers not experiencing jet lag on their return.
